Results of the trial
The trial has revealed, that in general can be said the medical treatment of patients with Chronic Heartfailure in Germany is at a very high level.
The guideline-based treatment by the family doctor and the specialist was was excellent. This was evident because of the low mortality and the measureable increase of the life quality of the trial patients in contrast to similar trials.
But an additional improvement through telemedicine could not be shown for each patient. The trial showed that expecially instable patients, that means immediatley after the discharge from the hospital or with extreme fluctuations in the course of the disease, can benefit from a telemedical treatmen.
Through an additional telemedical treatment in this patient group the mortality of cardiovascular diesease could be reduced significantly.
At the moment evulations of this patient group and health-economics were performed. We will report here about further results.
